Obituary: Buffalo County Journal May 10, 1951 MRS. JULE REINHARDT Mrs. Jule Reinhardt, the former Mary Imogene Farr, was born on Dec 18 1867 in Jackson County, Minnesota, the daughter of Philemon and Lydia Farr. When a small child she moved to Cascade Valley near Nelson. Her early life was spent on the farm there.On Sept 18, 1884, she was married to Jule Reinhardt and they went immediately to housekeeping on the farm in Cascade. Mr. Reinhardt who died Jan 22, 1940, was Buffalo County Highway Commissioner for 16 years and the couple was well known throughout the county. Mrs. Reinhardt was a member of the Methodist church and was active in church activities and in the Royal Neighbors lodge of which she was a charter member. From the time she was 12 until the last few years she played the piano for church services and sang for funerals. Always willing to help others, "Grandma" Reinhardt as she was known to many, will be greatly missed. She died Thursday, April 26, 1951 at Eau Claire of coronary thrombosis. She is survived by six children, Richard and Charles of Nelson, Jule Jr. of Hager City, Mrs. Harry Benjamin, Arcadia, Mrs. J.A. Biersteker and Mrs. Henry Griffen, Eau Claire, 14 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.Funeral service were held Sunday afternoon, April 29 from the Union Church at Nelson with the Rev Aston of Durand officiating and the Royal Neighbors Lodge participating in the services. Music was by the Brommer sisters, daughters of Mr. & Mrs. Oscar Brommer of Nelson. Pallbearers were six grandchildren: Russell and Duane Reinhardt, Kenneth and Gene Reinhardt and Jerry and Dick Reinhardt.She was laid to rest beside her husband in the Cascade Cemetery. A very large crowd attended the funeral including the following from out of town: Dr. & Mrs. N.L.
