beth, dr. of Samuel Stetson of M., Sept. 15, 1742, who d.
March 10, 1744; and he m. 3d, Rebecca, dr. of Wm. John-
son of M., Dec. 12, 1745. Mr. F. rem. to N. H. abt. 1760,
and d. June 25, 1781, ae 68. The name Prince as a Christian
name has been common among the descendants of both Ed-
mund Freeman No. 3, and John Freeman No. 5, since their
connection with the family of Gov. P. The governor wrote
his name Prence, but the prevailing orthography has long
