This is the last Will and Testament of me James Levet of Soham in the County of Cambridge, Gardener in manner and form as follows (that is to say) First I give and devise my messuage or Tenement with the yard garden outhouse and appurtenances thereunto bolonging situated in Clay Street otherwise Bull Lane in Soham afaresaid commonly called or known by the name of the Ivyhouse which purchased of Phillippa Edwards of Newmarket in the County of Suffolk Widow, unto my son James Levet his heirs and assigns forever. He my said son James Levet paying yearly and every year the clear Annuity or yearly rent charge of six pounds per annum unto the said Phillippa Edwards during the term of her natural Life by two half yearly payments the first payment to begin and be made on the sixth day of April or the Eleventh day of October which shall first happen after my decease. Also I will order and direct that all and singular my Copyhold Estates situated lying and being in Soham aforesaid with their and every of their appurtenances be sold by my Executors hereinafter named or the survivor of them or the Executors or Administrators of such Survivor for the beat price or prises which can or may be obtained for the same And the money arrising from such Sale to be applied as hereinafter mentioned and I do hereby further will order direct and declare that the receipt or receipts of my Executors or the survivor of them or the Executors or Administrators of such Survivor shall be a good and sufficient discharge to any purchaser or purchasers of the said Premises or any part thereof And that no such purchaser or purchasers or the said Estate and Premises so purchased by any purchaser or purchasers shall not be liable or answerable for the non application or misapplication of the said purchase money in any respect whatsoever. Also I give and bequeath unto my Loving Wife Ann Levet the Bed Bedstead Bedding and Hangings compleat as it now stands in my Bedroom Two Tables Six Chairs Corner Cupboard, Tea Kettle, Boiler Chest, six silver tea spoons one silver Tablespoon and Watch and all the rest residue and remainder of my goods and Chattles whatsoever I dye possessed of I also Will order and direct to be sold by my Executors, hereinafter named or the survivor of them or the Executors or Administrators of such survivor as soon as conveniently can be after my decease And the money arrising from the sale of my said goods and Chattles as also from the sale of my Copyhold Estates my ready money debts du, and owing to me at the time of my decease on Martgages Bonds or simple Contracts. I Will Order direct give and bequeath the same in manner following (that is to say) after paying all my just debts funeral expenses together with the Probate of this my last Will and Testament I or the first place or my Loving Wife Ann Levet and my two sons Joseph Levet and John Levet to have and receive seven pounds ten shillings each which I hereby give and bequeath unto then and what shall then reamin after paying my said Debts and the three Legacies of seven Pounds ten shillings each I give and bequeath such remainder to be equally divided into four shares and to be parted between my said wife Ann Levet and my sons James Levet, Joseph Levet and John Levet share and share alike And Lastly I nominate constitute and appoint my two sons James Levet and Joseph Levet joint Executors of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former and other Wills heretofore by me made In Witness whereof I have hereunto this my last Will and Testament in two sheets of paper contained to the first sheet set my hand and to this last sheet my Hand and seal this twenty fifth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and three (The mark and seal of James Levet
