POLICE VETERAN WIDMANN DIES

Raymond R. Widmann, 83, a 31-year veteran of law enforcement in the Madison area, died Jan. 18 in Peoria, Ariz.
Widmann retired as a patrol officer from the Madison Police Department after 22 years to become the town of Blooming Grove police chief in 1952. In 1960 he resigned as the town's chief to become McFarland's first police chief. Widmann retired in 1961.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Marian Farr Widmann; his daughter, Anna Erickson, of Tomahawk; and two granddaughters.

PORTAGE — Eunice Laverne Sumnicht (nee Farr), 88, died Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, at Tivoli Health Care Center in Portage.
Eunice was born Aug. 2, 1924, in Black Earth, the daughter of George H. and Grace R. (Berglund) Farr.
Eunice is survived by her son, Gary Sumnicht (Diane Coughlin); her grandchildren, Nicolas Malone, Zoe Sumnicht and Haley Sumnicht; her brother Russell Farr of Mesa, Ariz.; two nieces, Julie Major and Karen Crary and their children; other relatives; and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Sumnicht; her sisters, Marion Widmann and Ruth Setunsky; and her brothers George Farr and Burton Farr.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Pflanz Mantey Mendrala Funeral Home in Portage, with the Rev. Tom Countryman officiating. Inurnment will be private. Visitation will be held Friday, from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

SUN PRAIRIE - Lloyd "Fuzzy" Farr, age 86, died on Friday, Dec. 30, 2005, at the Sun Prairie Health Care Center. He was born on Aug. 9, 1919, in Black Earth and was the son of Glenn and Nettie (Walters) Farr. He married LaVerne Baker on Jan. 20, 1966, in Dubuque. He farmed early in his life and then was a truck driver. He then owned and operated two taverns with his wife, Fuzzy's Bar in Baraboo and Fuzzy's Greenwood in Sun Prairie. He is survived by his wife; a son, Thomas (Linda) Farr of Sarasota, Fla.; five step-children, Robert Baker of Sun Prairie, J. Michael (Linda) Baker of Poynette, Phillip Baker of Monona, Linda Meyers of Sun Prairie and Bonnie (Terry Simon of Sun Prairie; seven grandchildren; 17 step-grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Beulah Schroeder; and an infant brother. Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2006, at the TUSCHEN-NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 302 Columbus St., Sun Prairie. Pastor David Rostad will preside. A visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the funeral home of Wednesday. Burial will be held at Forest Hill Cemetery in Madison. The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Colonial View Apartments. The family would like to thank the Sun Prairie Health Care Center for their care and kindness. He will be missed by all who loved him.

Karen Farr Keller 1938 ~ 2011 CLINTON - Our precious, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt, Karen Farr Keller, 72, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, May 16, 2011.She was born July 5, 1938 in Logan, Utah to Aaron Freemen and Edith Johnson Farr. Karen grew up in Logan, Utah and Preston, Idaho moving to Ogden in 1952. She was a happy friendly child, who made friends easily. She attended school in both Utah and Idaho graduating from Ben Lomond High School in 1956. She also attended Weber State College. She married Ronald L. Keller, they later divorced. She retired from HAFB having held many important positions. She loved her work and took great pride in working hard and a job well done. Upon retiring in 1987, she began working for her son at KK Mechanical as the office manager continuing to work there until her passing. Karen enjoyed gardening, reading and movies, but mostly she loved talking with friends and family. Many good times were spent sitting around the table talking. She had a great sense of humor. We will miss her advice and counsel. Karen was a member of the Clinton 19th Ward where she served as librarian. She loved her ward family, and they loved her. Karen had a strong testimony of the Gospel and loved serving in the Temple. She is survived by her three sons, R. Kim (Cindy) Keller, Brian L. (Liz) Keller, R. Bart (Bonnie) Keller, 11 grandchildren, nine great-grand-children, two brothers, Aaron V. (Valanne) Farr, Hal J. (Paula) Farr, two sisters, Terry Roane (Robert) Stephenson and Diane Carruth. She was preceded in death by her parents, her niece and nephew, Melissa and Paul Carruth. From your Boys, We may not have always said it, but we hope you know it's true, the men we are today is only because of you. Funeral services will be held Monday May 23rd at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist's Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South, with Bishop R. Douglas Savage, presiding. The family will meet with friends on Sunday from 6 to 8:00 p.m. and Monday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment will at the Logan Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Huntsman's Cancer Institute, 1950 Circle of Hope Dr., SLC, UT 84112.
