Assault With a Deadly Weapon

Yesterday afternoon a young man named William Lahey, while in a state of intoxication, fired a revolver at an employee of the brewery corner of Mohawk and Morgan streets. His action was observed by Ralston A. Farr, who immediately disarmed him, and expressed a willingness to let the miscreant go if he would take his departure for home. Lahey refused, and drawing a knife, was about to assault Farr, when that individual immediately deprived him of the weapon. An American District Telegraph Messenger, was dispatched for an officer. Patrolman Moran of the Third precinct took Lahey into custody and this morning the acussed was held for trial in the Police Court on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon.
