RODNA V. FARR, BRISTOL, VT — Rodna V. Farr, 91, died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2000, at Birchwood Terrace Healthcare in Burlington. She was born on July 3, 1908, in Chesterfield, Ill., the daughter of William and Ada (Sarginson) Fenton. Rodna married Rolan S. Farr in Decatur, Ill., on Oct. 28, 1945. They farmed in South Bristol for 25 years beginning in 1950 and during that time they established and ran Elephant Mountain Campground until May of 1999. Rolan predeceased Rodna on Oct. 16, 1999. She is survived by a niece, Marilyn Culbreth of Florida; and a nephew, William Fenton of Illinois. Rodna was predeceased by a brother, William, in 1967. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at the Brown-McClay Funeral Home in Bristol. Interment will be in Maple Cemetery in Lincoln. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday before the service.

Made sole executor of his mother's will dated 1783 and probated 1785 in Hollis, Hillsborough, New Hampshire. His mother's name in the will is Hannah Farr relict and widow of Thomas Farr late of Hollis deceased. Many people have this Hannah as the wife of Thomas Farr Jr. and as the mother of his children but not so.
