Logan S. "Sam" Farr Jr., 64, passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2009, at home surround by his loving family after a brave battle with cancer. 

Sam loved to listen to country music and liked to follow Nascar racing. An avid boxing fan all his life; he helped coach his son "Junior" to many Golden Glove Champion titles. For many years he helped coach little league football for East Side Central grade school. Sam was the world's greatest salesman who could sell you your own shirt right off your back as his family loved to joke about; quick witted with a gift of gab and a very big heart. Sam lived his life to the fullest each day. 

Preceded in death by his parents, Logan and Velma Farr Sr. and sisters, Morna, Norma, and Ann Marie. 

Survived by Lois Ann Farr, the love of his life; children, Cindy Schmidlin-Null, Ray "Junior" Schmidlin, Diana Schmidlin-Tymiak, Logan S. Farr III; 12 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews whom he loved very much; good friend, Randy Frampton and life long friend and brother-in- law, Bob Reynolds. 

There will be a private service for family to celebrate Sam's life at some point in the near future.
