She married Dwight Cox in Ft. Worth on January 16, 1984. She was a homemaker and a member of Atlas Cowboys for Christ Baptist Church and also the First Baptist Church in Broken Bow. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; sons Gobby Cox, Lynn Barber; Grandchildren Jennifer Moyer, Case Boutwell; sisters Margaret Moore, Edith McKinzie and Wanda Carnes. 

She is survived by her husband, Dwight; children Pam Almon, Stormie Cherry and husband Waylon, Charles Butch Cox; grandchildren Stephanie Boutwell and husband Shawn, Jason Barber, K C Barber and wife Hannah, Patrick Almon and wife Brianne, Cody Cox and wife Maddyson, Brytni Cox, Zoe Cherry, Abby Forsyth; sisters Susan Clanton and husband Billy, Patricia Crane and husband Ralph, Judy Corbell and husband Johnny, Joyce Gunn and husband Charlie; brother Doug Farr and wife Winnie and numerous Great Grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home at 11:00 am Thursday June 11, 2015 with Bro. Stanley Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery in Roxton, Texas.

Edith McKenzie, 73, passed away Friday, Nov. 23, 2012. Graveside service: 10 a.m. Tuesday in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Edith's name to the Alzheimer's Association. Edith was born on Aug. 11, 1939, in Tyler. The family lived in Amarillo and later moved to Fort Worth. There she met and married her husband of 54 years, Charles McKenzie. She was a longtime resident of North Richland Hills. Edith taught computer classes at TCJC before she retired. She was a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and loved by many. Edith was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Effie Farr. Survivors: Husband, Charles; daughter, Carla Cowan and husband, Graeme; son, Mark McKenzie and wife, Susie; grandchildren, Ryan and Jacob Harter, Baillie and Greyson McKenzie; great-grandchildren, Ryan Harter Jr., Logan Harter, Rorie Harter and aunt, Gladys Green all living in and around Fort Worth; sisters and brother-in-laws; and brother and sister-in-law.

Record of the Will of Jacob B. Farr

I Jacob B. Farr of Phelps, Ontario County, New York, do hereby make and publish this my last will and testament.
First: I give and bequeath to my wife all my real estate lying in the aforesaid town of Phelps for and during the term of her natural life which said legacy given to my said wife as aforesaid, I hereby declare is intended to be, and is so given to her in full satisfaction and recompense of and for her dower and thirds which she may or can in any wise ____ out of my estate - and I do will and ordain that my said wife shall support and maintain my son Jackson Farr out of the above mentioned legacy until he shall arrive at the age of twenty one years - and I do further will and ordain that my executors or administrators shall immediately after the decease of my said wife, sell all the aforesaid real estate and pay the proceeds thereof to my daughters Nancy Dimon, wife of Samuel Dimon and Alonzo Farr, Eugene Farr and Jackson Farr, equally - and I do further will and ordain that all the rest and residue of my real estate whatsoever or wheresoever the same may be, shall be sold as soon as convenient after my death and the proceeds thereof paid to the said Nancy Dimon, Alonzo Farr, Eugene Farr and Jackson Farr Equally after paying to my grand children Augustus & Elizabeth Blauvelt, children of my daughter Betsey Blauvelt each two hundred and fifty dollars. - And I do further will and ordain that all my personal estate whatsoever and wheresoever the same may be, shall be sold at auction or otherwise is immediately after my decease, and the proceeds of such sale after paying all funeral expenses and my debts together with all bonds, mortgages, notes ___ __, that shall belong to me at the time of my decease shall be equally divided between my children Nancy Dimon, Alonzo Farr, Eugene Farr and Jackson Farr. - And in case LaFayette Farr shall return to this place, my four children Nancy Dimon, Alonzo Farr, Eugene Farr and Jackson Farr shall pay to him the one fifth part of all moneys or othet things that they may have received out of my estate and each pay an equal portion of the same.
And I do further give and devise unto Melissa Martin the sum of five dollars to be paid to her at the expiration of one year form the day of my decease.
And I do hereby revoke and annul any and all former wills heretofore executed by me,

I In the event of my death before my youngest son George Farr arrives at age I give devise and bequeath to my son James Farr one third and to my daughter Amelia wife of Charles Ansley another third and to my brother - in - law Vincent Reed __ ____ for my said son George, and to be paid over to him in his coming of age the remaining third of all the property and estate Real and Personal goods chattles moneys effects, belonging to me at my decease

J. W. Farr, who had lived in and around the village for about 27 years, died Tuesday morning at the Arlington, where his home had been for several years. He had been in failing health for some time—in fact, someone has had to stay with him for the past two months, so his death was not unexpected. He has one daughter living in the west, and three grandchildren, Ralph and Burt Craft and Mrs. Lione Greenfield of Oklahoma. So far as is known, he is the last of his father's family. Last Sunday the 12th, he celebrated his 81st birthday and until his health failed a few months ago was able to do a man's work. He was a man who always, under all circumstances, lived up to his convictions of right and wrong—and was a loyal friend, as we can testify because of a close association with him for several years, and was a bitter enemy. Funeral services were held from the Arlington Wednesday forenoon conducted by the I.O.O.F. and Rebekahs and the body was laid to rest in the North Loup Cemetery."
