Ella Jane Leebody-Farr, 57, wife of Harley W. Farr, well known retired farmer and politician, of Chester, formerly of Liberty township, Republic county, Kansas, whose death occurred at Chester recently, after four years of illness, came to Republic county (sic) when she was sixteen years of age. She was married to Mr. Farr January 15, 1885, and lived on a farm four miles south of Chester until seven years ago, when they moved to Chester. Five children, Miss Alma Farr and Mrs. Alice Mosier of Chester; Mrs. Macey Hussey, Mrs. Alta Linkenback and Arthur Farr, all of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, were born to this union, and who, with the husband and father, survive, and all were present at the funeral with the exception of Alta and Arthur. She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Ada Spurgeon of Shellsburg, Iowa, who also attended the funeral, conducted by Elder F.E. Blanchard, assisted by Pastor Charles Burns of the M.E. church, assisted by D.W. Bryant of the Chester Christian church.
